Senior Sales Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer to drive the sales of industrial machinery and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in sales, and the ability to manage client and supplier relationships. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets while ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify and acquire new business opportunities, focusing on industrial clients and suppliers.

  • Client Acquisition: Generate leads, conduct client presentations, and effectively communicate the value of MLIS products and services to potential customers.

  • Supplier Relationships: Identify, engage, and maintain relationships with top-tier suppliers to ensure the availability of competitive products and services.

  • Technical Consultation: Use technical knowledge to provide expert advice to clients on product selection, system design, and solution customization to meet their specific needs.

  • Sales Targets: Achieve or exceed sales targets through proactive business development and effective account management.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential challenges.

  • Reporting: Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management, outlining performance against targets and strategic plans.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (required). MBA or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area (preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the industrial machinery or similar sector, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery and equipment, with the ability to explain complex systems to clients in simple terms.

  • Sales Skills: Proven experience in client acquisition, negotiation, and closing high-value deals. Ability to manage both short sales cycles and longer-term business development initiatives.

  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose client needs, provide technical solutions, and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Languages: Proficiency in both English and Bengali is required.
